With the release of iOS 4.0.2/3.2.2, Apple has successfully closed the jailbreakme.com hole. They are now shipping devices with FW 4.0.2/3.2.2, that is impenetrable to this particular jailbreak. Obviously, everyone is anxious to know whether there will be a jailbreak for devices that shipped with 4.0.2/3.2.2 ?

Bulldozing all rumors, Apple today announced that they will be holding a special event next Wednesday, September 1st, in San Francisco. Apple will be using this venue to launch the new iPod Touch, Apple TV, and the 99-cent TV show rental service. The focus of the event will mainly revolve around the new iPods line.

We are hearing that Chrome OS is about to be launched with a tablet debut on Verizon just before the holidays. Launch is aimed for Black Friday on November 26, and apparently the plan is to offer the device for extremely cheap or free on subsidy, which makes sense. After all, it is just a browser, and “free”.
