Next Generation iPhone 4G Will Offer Touch Sensitive Shell
The rumors were already on that Apple’s Next Generation iPhone 4G will be coming in April 2010, but no one could predict that interesting twist where Apple’s next iPhone may take some cues from the company’s new multi-touch Magic Mouse and incorporate a touch-sensitive casing over and above the existing traditional touchscreen that has been the hallmark of Apple. It was Bloomberg, which a while ago informed that touching the phone back while showing virtual finger tips on the front would keep fingers from blocking or obscuring the user’s vision, and thus reduce unintended results. It is also hinted that Apple’s latest iPhone 4G will most probably be available by June this year, The new device will have a more advanced features like 5 Megapixel camera with LED Flash and may also feature a touch-sensitive shell. Quoting Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Taipei-based analyst, Robert Chen, without identifying his source, disclosed all this in his interview:
Apple’s going to put a lot of innovation, not just on the hardware, but also on the software of the new iPhone. The handset will feature a new plastic casing similar to that used for Apple’s touch-panel Magic Mouse released last year.

Steve Dowling, the Apple spokesman did not deny the news and rather said:
We’re not going to comment on rumors and speculation.
Robert Chen is a member of Goldman’s Asia Technology Hardware team lead by Henry King that topped the 2009 Institutional Investor rank, further added that Magic Mouse, a computer mouse released in October 09, has a touch-sensitive solid plastic shell that replaces mechanical buttons. Similar technology may be replicated in the new iPhone to offer touch-sensitive features on the rear of the handset.
A lot many users will be asking whether it is really required ? Touching the back while showing virtual finger tips on the front would keep fingers from blocking the user’s vision, and thus reduce unintended results. It would definitely interest users!
