Android 2.3 Gingerbread Ported To HTC HD2 Already
This is probably the most awesome news for all HTC HD2 owners out there. Its been a day since Gingerbread was announced by Google and already it has been ported to the mighty HTC HD2 which is a Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone.

All credit goes to the the member over at XDA Developers named DarkStone1337 who pulled this feat off so quickly. The HTC HD2 is the only known Windows Phone device which runs Android flawlessly and everything (literally, everything) just works! But the build of Gingerbread we see right now is in a too early stage, so we’re guessing that its quite buggy, but over here one thing has been proved; it can be done! And that’s exactly what DarkStone1337 said, “I’ve done it”. We hope that a stable release comes out soon so we can try it out ourselves. Meanwhile, check this link out about the full features what Android 2.3 Gingerbread has to offer. [via TalkAndroid] [source XDA]
