Apple Approaches Federal Government to Stop iPhone Jailbreaking
According to a NBC’s report, Apple has approached Federal Government to prevent hackers who are keen to develop tools for iPhone Jailbreaking. Apple has taken up this step in pursuance of Sony recently filing a lawsuit against the world known iPhone hacker Geohot for jailbreaking PlayStation 3.
Consequent to the legal action by Sony against GeoHot, Apple has probably also decided to block these hackers to develop Tool to Jailbreak iPhone, although the procedure has been declared legal throughout the territory of United States. The statement from Apple was:
Current techniques for the Jailbreak, which are now widespread, make unauthorized changes to the bootloader and operating system on which Apple has the full rights, is therefore committed an actual violation of copyright.
