Apple Media Event is a feature that is regularly held in the month of September each year. This year, there were strong buzz around that instead of the usual Apple’s “Media event” in September, Apple this year will be hosting their event as early as mid of this August, somewhere around 14th to 16th. As 14th August was falling on Saturday, what they believed is that the event was likely going to be held on Monday or Tuesday i.e. 16th or 17th of this month. However, these rumors didn’t materialize as envisaged.

Bulldozing all rumors, Apple today announced that they will be holding a special event next Wednesday, September 1st, in San Francisco. Apple will be using this venue to launch the new iPod Touch, Apple TV, and the 99-cent TV show rental service. The focus of the event will mainly revolve around the new iPods line.
