iClarified via MacRumors has posted several new images of what according to a tipster’s claim seems to be the exterior casing for the upcoming fourth generation iPhone. Text on the back of the claimed shell indicate that it is a 64 GB model, and the first line of small text includes Apple’s traditional “Designed by Apple in California Assembled in China” information. These images are not of high enough quality to interpret the second line of text, which would contain the model number and FCC and IC ID numbers. These pics are, however, questionable as their meta data indicates that they have passed through Photoshop CS4. These pictures are causing a little suspicion for following reasons:

  • An all aluminum, unibody enclosure would most probably hinder the effectiveness of a Wi-Fi or cellular radio.
  • The Apple logo does not appear to be proportionate as compared to the size of the body.
  • The text on the back of the phone is not positioned low enough as compared to previous models

The aluminum enclosure/cellular radio issue could be totally irrelevant as the iPad uses the Apple logo as the radio signal exit point.  We, however, don’t know whether the issues reported by some users about the iPad having with its Wi-Fi radio were Real or fake.  [Via BGR and iClarified]
