Change iPad’s Mute Switch Back To Orientation Lock [Jailbreak Required]

Like we said before and most of you are aware of it, the hardware orientation lock switch on the iPad is now the mute switch permanently on iOS 4.2. Feel like changing it back? This is where Cydia comes in with an awesome package called NoMute.

To install NoMute you need to jailbreak your iPad on iOS 4.2, you can follow our guide posted here to do so. When you’re done, fire up Cydia and under the BigBoss repository just search for NoMute. Install it, and your mute switch is now the orientation lock switch once again. [via RedmondPie]
