Facebook Releases Standalone Messaging App For Android And iPhone called Messenger, Download Now
Facebook has finally taken the move to extend their new messaging capabilities on two of the most popular mobile OS’s on the planet, iOS and Android.

Although the official Facebook for Android and iOS apps do support messaging capabilities but sadly they are extremely limited to sending and receiving plain old text based messages. If you want to attach pictures or location, then it’s a no go.
This is where the new Facebook Messenger app comes in, it allows users to send messages to their Facebook contacts via a very simple standalone app from their iOS or Android device. We wouldn’t call the app to be very feature rich in any case, but it gets the job done in a very simple fashion.
The app allows users to send images, yes you read that right, you can send images to your Facebook contacts via the Messenger app. Apart from that, you can even send your location to any contact added in your Facebook friends list. And the best part? You can now send group messages, something which the Facebook app is not capable of doing itself.
The only vow against the app is; why is it a separate app? Wouldn’t it be better if Facebook integrated all these features inside the Facebook app instead or releasing a separate Messaging app? We’re sure there’s a reason behind it, and will remain unknown to mankind in the coming days.
The app is absolutely free and there are no charges to use it whatsoever, except for the data charges. if you have an unlimited data plan, then you can go nuts with this app.
