iPad to Ship on April 3, Slightly Delayed than Originally Evivansaged
It was just a day earlier that we in our post informed about the delay that was envisaged in the shipment of iPad. The rumor was that iPad’s launch could be delayed by a month or so due to an unspecified bottleneck slowing the device’s production. The rumor was later on countered by an Apple employee saying that Apple employees will get iPad on March 10th, whereas its retail availability will start on March 26.

Apple has now made it official that Wi-Fi model of iPad is coming to USA on April 3, and pre-ordering will be starting March 12. 3G model of iPad however will not be available before late April or early May. The news almost coincides with the earlier rumor which stated that iPad was coming to Apple Stores on March 10th, while the retail availability will be made on March 26th. [Via Redmond Pie]

Apple over the weekend has sold more than 4 Million iPhones. That is about 16 iPhones 4S sold every second or roughly saying around 1,000 each minute. These figures are most likely going to further enhance with the iPhone 4S introduction in 22 more countries on October 24th.
