iPhone 5 Media Event Announced For 4th October, Apple Sends Out Invites
Apple has made it official and has started to send out invites for its highly anticipated Media Event, in which they will announce the next generation iPhone, dubbed as the iPhone 5.

The invitation of the event however in our opinion knocked on everyone’s door a little late, but its always better to be late then never right? Jumping on the details of the event, it will be held after just a week from now on 4th of October on Apple’s very own One Infinite Loop campus in Cupertino, California.
The event itself is a really huge one in my opinion. Apple will finally take the wraps off their next-gen iPhone, which is currently dubbed as the iPhone 5 on the interwebs. Apart from the iPhone 5 itself, we’re also expecting Apple to announce the Gold Master candidate of iOS 5, which is the next gen mobile operating system for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Originally announced back in June at WWDC, iOS 5 has come a really long way with 7 beta releases to date! Which is a record breaker in Apple’s book.
Along with iOS 5, we also foresee the launch of iCloud, which is Apple’s answer to everyone’s cloud-based needs. A service which also saw light of day in WWDC, its near completion and we sense the public launch of iCloud along with iOS 5 in a couple of weeks after the announcement of the iPhone 5 itself.
The iPhone 5 was supposed to be announced this Summer along with iOS 5 but for some reason (which we can’t guess at this point) saw a lot of delays. The next iPhone is rumored to have a larger 4-inch display, a faster A5 dual core processor which currently powers the iPad 2, a better 8-megapixel camera as opposed to the current 5-megapixel one found in the iPhone 4. Apart from all these features, it would be a wild guess what the iPhone 5 will actually look like.
The event, as we mentioned earlier in this post will be held on the 4th of October, and will go live at 10AM Pacific Standard Time. We will cover the whole event and report on the announcements as they happen, therefore stay tuned!
To wrap it all up, we’ll leave it to our readers to decide what to expect from the next iPhone. It would be awesome if Apple touts out an all new and thinner design as opposed to the iPhone 4. And if we’re lucky enough, we might just see a cheaper iteration of the iPhone 4 as well, who knows.
