Jailbreak Apple TV 2G On iOS 4.3 Using Seas0nPass [Tethered]
Great news for Apple TV 2G users, you can jailbreak your Apple TV 2G using Seas0nPass on iOS 4.3. But it’s a tethered jailbreak for now.

Seas0nPass is currently available for Mac users only, so that’s a bummer. But we’re expecting the Windows version to be out really soon. And keep in mind that Seas0nPass is more or less like PwnageTool and Sn0wBreeze, it creates custom .IPSW files for your Apple TV 2G which are jailbroken on iOS 4.3.
You should have the latest version of iTunes, which is 10.2.1 which you can download from here. A micro-USB cable which ships with your Apple TV 2G. iOS 4.3 for Apple TV 2G which you can download from here and Seas0nPass of course, which you can download from here.
Step 1: Download Seas0nPass and fire it up.
Step 2: Click on “Create IPSW” to build a custom iOS 4.3 firmware file which is jailbroken.

Step 3: Let Seas0nPass do its thing and download the required files.

Step 4: Connect your Apple TV 2G with your Mac when Seas0nPass prompts you to. Leave the power disconnected! Press and hold the “MENU” and “PLAY/PAUSE” buttons for 7 seconds when prompted to.
Step 5: iTunes will automatically launch and begin the restore process.

Step 6: You’ll be prompted by iTunes when the whole restore process is complete. That’s it, you’re done and jailbroken on iOS 4.3 tethered.
What if you lose power? Then follow the steps given below.
Step 1: Fire up Seas0nPass and select the option labeled “Boot Tethered”.
Step 2: Connect your Apple TV 2G via Micro USB when prompted. When the red light flashes rapidly on your Apple TV 2G, connect the power cable. Now hold down the “Menu” and “Play/Pause” buttons simultaneously for 7 seconds to go into DFU mode.
Step 3: Rest of the process is automatic, when you’re all done. Just remove the Micro-USB cable and connect your Apple TV 2G back to your TV via the HDMI cable.
