The iPhone Dev Team has released an updated version of Redsn0w and is fully capable of jailbreaking the newly released beta of iOS 5; beta 6.

The jailbreak as you might expect is tethered. In case if you’re not aware of what a tethered jailbreak is then here’s a quick rundown; a tethered jailbreak is a type of jailbreak in which you have to boot your device into the jailbroken state every time when it loses power or simply restarts, this is simply done by connecting your iOS device to your PC or Mac, which can be an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

Therefore, Redsn0w 0.9.8b6 only supports jailbreaking an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch tethered for now, on iOS 5 beta 6. The instructions for jailbreaking are exactly similar to the ones posted here, which is quite in detail, therefore you shouldn’t have any sort of problem going through them. Simply select the iOS 5 beta 6 IPSW where required.
