Famous hacker and developer iH8sn0w just updated his famous jailbreaking took Sn0wbreeze to version 2.8b6, and now fully supports jailbreaking iOS 5 beta 6 on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

The jailbreak, like any other you can get your hands on for any of the iOS 5 betas is tethered, which means that if your device loses power or simply restarts, you would have to boot it into the jailbroken state again every time. Sn0wbreeze on the other hand, is a tool for Windows users, which allows us to cook custom IPSW firmware files, which are jailbroken on iOS 5 beta 6 in this case, and then later on be restored to our iOS device of choice using iTunes 10.5 beta 6.

The steps for jailbreaking iOS 5 beta 6 is no different from the ones posted here, expect that you would have to use iOS 5 beta 6’s IPSSW firmware file where necessary, and also, use iTunes 10.5 beta 6 to restore the said jailbroken firmware to your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.
