Mac OS X was announced back in WWDC in the present month which is a big upgrade over Mac OS X Snow Leopard. It brings more than 200 new features over Snow Leopard. The idea behind Lion is to bridge the gap between iOS and Mac, and without any surprise Apple has pulled it off quite well. With features like multitouch gestures, Launch Pad, Mission Control, Full screen apps etc. Lion seems to be a very promising update over Snow Leopard in terms of eye candy and functionality combined.

Mac OS X Lion will be available through the Mac App Store only, which will cost you just a mere $29 and will be a 4GB download. But in order to get Mac OS X Lion, you need the Mac OS X 10.6.8 update, and we highly recommend that you get the update without hesitating. [via 9to5Mac]
