Mac OS X Lion 10.7.1 Update Is Now Live, Download Now
Apple just pushed out a point update to its latest and greatest OS for the Mac; OS X Lion. It addresses several issues which people might’ve been facing for quite a while, especially issues regarding Wi-Fi.

The update however, is not very huge, and also its worth noting that the update is not a universal one for all Macs, instead its different for every Mac, and is simply available via the Software Update app which is built right into OS X Lion. The complete change log of the update is as follows:
- Address an issue that may cause the system to become unresponsive when playing a video in Safari.
- Resolve an issue that may cause system audio to stop working when using HDMI or optical audio out.
- Improve the reliability of Wi-Fi connections.
- Resolve an issue that prevents transfer of your data, settings, and compatible applications to a new Mac running OS X Lion.
- Resolve an issue in which an admin user account could be missing after upgrading to OS X Lion.
From the change log, you can tell that the point update, which is Mac OS X 10.7.1 Lion addresses bugs mainly, instead of bringing some cosmetic changes or improvements. But even the slightest update is welcome at this point, as it improves the user experience, which further leads to the smooth functioning of a Mac. Simply launch the Software Update app on your Mac, and you should see the update notification, and then simply hit Install. The download shouldn’t be more than 20MB, or maybe around that, depending on the type of Mac you might have.
