In my utmost honest opinion, Skype without video calling feature on any platform is trash, and the Android version was like that a few days back but now it supports two-way video calls, finally!

From the Android Market, the description is as follows:

Make free Skype-to-Skype video calls, and call phones at Skype rates on the move

Make free Skype-to-Skype calls and video calls or call phones and landlines at great Skype rates on the go.

- Free* Skype-to-Skype IM, calls and video calls over 3G or WiFi
- Cheap calls and texts to landlines or mobiles at great Skype rates
- Instant message friends at the same time

* Data plan or WiFi connection required
- Some handsets may not be supported
- You need Android v2.2 to run Skype on a Samsung Galaxy S
- Two way video calling is supported on the following handsets: Google Nexus S, HTC Desire S, Sony Ericsson Xperia neo, Sony Ericsson Xperia pro.

A slight re-do of the UI has taken place and video calling feature is a go! The catch? Very limited number of handsets are supports, the reason being? Fragmentation. There you go, I said it. it will take Skype a considerable amount of time before its fully compatible with every handset sporting a front facing camera. The above listed handsets are only supported for now. But the biggest plus point at this point is the support for video calls on 3G and Wi-Fi both! Which in my opinion, is an amazing feature and treat for all Android users.

Its been said that Skype will also launch their iPad app in the coming days, we’re quite excited about that as well, finally Skype is making some kick ass moves regarding their apps on “mobile” devices.
