Deciding on which platform to jump on solely for gaming can be a hectic process, tons of good gaming titles floating around, with lots of different dedicated hardware for games too. But in the industry at the moment, the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad leads for a number of reasons over Redmond’s Windows Phone 7.

Wp7 vs iPhone

The first thing I go for is quality of the gaming title itself then eventually down to what we call in the real world as “price”. Your preference for going for a game might be different, depending on your game buying behaviour, but mine has a plain ol’ pattern in doing so.

So, its Windows Phone 7 versus iOS, narrowing down to pricing, since we already know that iOS higher quality games than any other platform, don’t believe me, a simple Google will do the trick for you and the number of titles which iOS offers is astonishing, its even more than what the PlayStation Portable has to offer. Whereas Windows Phone 7 offers you the goodness of Xbox LIVE, something which will give any gamer an everlasting orgasm. When it comes to price alone, Windows Phone 7 titles are actually quite expensive! As RedmondPie points out:

Nearly all games on Windows Phone 7 are priced twice or even four times as much as the same game on the iPhone!

Consider the following glaring examples: Max & The Magic Marker, Deer Hunter 3D costs just $0.99 on iOS, whereas it costs $4.99 on WP7.

After looking at the comparison chart down below, you might reconsider your plans for getting Windows Phone over iOS, the pricing of gamin titles on Windows Phone are just crazy!

But yet again, the hard work that the developer puts into developing the game somewhat justifies the price point, something which an avid gamer wouldn’t even consider before making a purchase. Would you buy infinity blade for the iPhone just because you feel bad that the developer put loads of effort in making its graphics super awesome without caring for the gameplay? I’m sure you wouldn’t.
