Alright great, it has finally happened, Windows Phone 7’s biggest update dubbed as Mango has finally leaked, and it’s the RTM build, not a beta.

The build which is available for download at the moment is the RTM build which was signed off by Microsoft last month, in other words, its highly likely the final build which will ship on Windows Phone 7 powered smartphones later this year.

Its quite surprising to note that how this build managed to leak onto the web, Microsoft really needs to tighten up control or major software like Windows 8 would eventually leak! Oh wait, I think that has happened quite a few times in the last few months.

The ROM which is available for download comes to us courtesy XDA Developers, the place for all things geeky. You can simply head over to this thread for complete installation instructions on how to get the ROM up and running on your handset in a matter of an hour or two.

But be warned, this may and will potentially brick your device if something goes wrong during the process of flashing, therefore we won’t be held responsible if anything goes wrong.

Windows Phone Mango is the biggest update to Windows Phone 7 itself, it has more than 500 new features, along with that; deep social integration and can’t forget the butter smooth Metro UI from Microsoft. Expect Mango devices to launch sometime later this year, my eyes are on the Windows Phone 7 device from Nokia, have you seen it already?
